Medical conditions
Rhinitis
Inflammation of the nose lining is called rhinitis, which can cause swelling and blocks the airflow. The reasons behind rhinitis are usually the common cold or hayfever. It also presents the same symptoms as a cold or hayfever, which could include sneezing, a blocked or runny nose and itchy eyes, throat and nose. There are many reasons behind the cause of rhinitis, for example it can be caused by a common cold, bacteria or a virus and, if hayfever is the cause, it can be affected by pollen and allergies.
Luckily for suffers of rhinitis, symptoms usually only last for up to a week and there are lots of treatments available either over the counter or by prescription. Due to the differing causes of rhinitis, different treatments can help, for example nasal sprays and antihistamines may control hayfever, whereas antibiotics may cure some causes of rhinitis.
If there have been no changes to your medical condition over the last 12 months, Cover My Travels can provide a comprehensive travel insurance policy with no additional charge.
