Benign lump
Benign means it contains no cancerous cells, thus it is not always life threatening. The lumps can be present anywhere on the body and can cause people to panic, as many automatically believe a lump is cancerous. This thankfully is untrue with many lumps being diagnosed as benign. The lump is usually caused by a collection of fatty cells and can cause slight pain. Removing them from the area and testing them for cancerous cells is the only treatment for the lumps. Once the lump has been identified as benign no other treatment should be necessary, however the lump may return.
If there have been no changes to your medical condition over the last 12 months, Cover My Travels can provide a comprehensive travel insurance policy with no additional charge.
