Asthma

Asthma is a condition where the airways become irritated and inflamed, leading to coughing, wheezing and breathlessness. Asthma is a common condition found in both adults and children. The causes of asthma attacks also vary from person to person, some may develop asthma because of pollen, dust or through exercising in a cold, dry environment.

Inhalers are the most common treatment to prevent and relieve an asthma attack. Many cope with their asthma by managing their lives to avoid the causes of their asthma. Attacks will also be different for individuals, some have attacks very often and can effect their lives dramatically others suffer attacks very rarely. All can be treated with the correct medicines and undertaking asthma management, very few attacks result in death.
