Abscess

An Abscess is when a section of the skin or deeper tissue is infected. The infection causes the area to become swollen and red, with the abscess usually containing pus. Abscesses can be found all over the body including internally e.g. the mouth. Treatment usually consists of either antibiotics or drainage of the fluid.
